Compact Disco Defender resident DJ Martyn Henderson aka Mash has been djing, producing, writing, and broadcasting in the dance scene for 3 decades.

Mash has released loads of records for years on labels like Southern Fried, Glasgow Underground, Dirt Crew,  Toolroom, Optimo, Peppermint Jam, Lyceum Social Club and Bulletdodge. His single ‘Please Be True’ was a collaboration Idris Elba, with remixes from Greymatter and Sinden.

Mash tracks have been played by Groove Armada, Francois K, Gorgon City, Laurent Garnier, Duke Dumont, Sasha, Hot Since 82, Seth Troxler and more.

Compact Disco Edits have been played by Luke Unabomber, Tayo, Jamie Jones, Skream, Groove Armada and Illyus and Barrientos. 

Mash has shared the decks with Green Velvet, Patrick Topping, Groove Armada, Sonny Fodera, Eats Everything, Andrew Weatherall, Pete Tong, Purple Disco Machine, MK, Sinden, Fat Boy Slim, 2 Many DJs, Matthew Dear, Tiga…….

Mash has played at festivals like Rock Ness, TRNSMT, Summer Sessions, Playground, T In The Park, Homelands, Love Box, The Riverside Festival and more.

Mash has supplied back stage and VIP music for Simple Minds, Tom Jones, Jamiroquai, The Killers, Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Guns N’ Roses, The Cure, The 1975, Travis, Michael Kiwanuka and more. 

Mash has written for Mixmag (house editor for 8 years), Sunday Mail, Music Week, Vice, Clash etc.

Mash has broadcast loads on radio including Beat 106, XFM, Galaxy, Clyde and Capital interviewing artists like Moby, Disclosure, Depeche Mode, Fat Boy Slim, Hot Chip, Mark Ronson, Andrew Weatherall etc.

Mash does a monthly on Groove City Radio.
